Annual Campout is happening this Aug 20-23

Hello Friends,

Well here we are, summer is in full swing….. erm well as full as it can get under the current conditions. We WILL be hosting the Annual Campout at Hartman Creek State Park Aug 20-23.

This is an outdoor event so we will have plenty of room to spread out.

We encourage all who attend to please respect your friends, wear a mask, and maintain social distance standards of 6 ft. (please do this for the safety of others).

We will have a dinner break/group dinner(of sorts) so we can all eat dinner around the same time, however, it will not be the traditional potluck, please bring food and drink to cover you and your family as we don’t see a safe system for hosting the traditional potluck.

Park Stickers – you are required to have a park sticker on your vehicle.

The park offices are closed so you must order a park sticker in advance. You can purchase your sticker by following the link found on the DNR’s webpage. When you click on the link you will be redirected to a third-party site that manages sales.

For over 30 years the Green Apple Folk Music Society has been home to folk music enthusiasts in northeast Wisconsin.  In that time our stages have been graced by local, regional and national folk artists as well as beginners. We like to share the music.

We also have an annual camp out, various jams and our friends participate in local folk festivals, farmer markets and most any place you would find live music. In short, we like to provide opportunities for people to listen to music and to play together.

Our ideas about folk music are very broad. We include acoustic styles such as bluegrass, blues, country, Celtic, folk, gospel, old-timey, and singer-songwriter. You won't find a more supportive group of music-makers. Some regulars are professional, others are beginners, and many of us don't play at all but just enjoy the music!

To get more involved, please consider joining the board of directors.  We meet on the first monday of the month to plan upcoming events.  We'd love to get your ideas.  The board is a small group of people, and an enthusiastic member has a lot of influence in the future directions of the organization.

See our Schedule page for current Green Apple events or our Links page for other opportunities to hear or perform folk music in the area.
